Unfortunately we didn't reach the KS goal. Considering how crappy the video was, the timing, and that there were no hard prices, I actually think it did pretty good.
Anyways, thanks a lot for the very positive feed-back, and for supporting the campaign.
I will have to focus on contracted work for some time, so at this point I have no plans on reviving the campaign. Maybe something shows up, you never know.
As for cocos2d, SpriteBuilder was pulled recently from the store, and I wouldn't expect it to return. I tried myself to get it to compile, but with no success so far. If we at some point succeed in compiling it, I will host it at cocos2d, and create a 1.5 release, and a matching cocos2d 3.5 release.
I have also asked Scott and Collin many times, if it would be possible to merge the sprite builder forum with this forum. That would gather all issues in the same forum, and help the community. I haven't heard anything, and as none of them has been active for months, I wouldn't put my hopes up.
As for the future, 3.4.9 is still a solid release, and I would not hesitate myself to base new work on it.
I still think there would be a solid future for an Apple based version. The PureSwift campaign proved that. However, without fundings of some sort, I think it will be impossible to find the time for such a project, and that means, that we in 2016 will continue to see a decline in activity.
Anyways, happy new year guys. I hope we haven't seen the last cocos2d-objc blockbuster yet.
