On my Mac Pro the simulator crashes using the newest Cocos2d (v3 rc5), the crash happens on the setup of Cocos2d. I tried putting a try/catch around the [OALSimpleAudio sharedInstance], but the app still crashes. The crash happens in the ALWrapper at line 472:
The errors are:
Error '!obj' trying to fetch default input device's sample rate
Error getting audio input device sample rate: '!obj'
// Sometimes I get this
AQMEIOManager::FindIOUnit: error '!dev'
AURemoteIO::Initialize failed: -10851 (enable 2, outf< 2 ch, 44100 Hz, Float32, non-inter> inf< 2 ch, 0 Hz, Int16, inter>)
<0xb0115000> AQMEIOManager::FindIOUnit: error '!dev'
// And other times I get this
AQMEIOManager::FindIOUnit: error 'NoHW'
<0xb0081000> AQMEIOManager::FindIOUnit: error 'NoHW'
Obviously the Mac Pro has no input source and that's why it's failing. I suppose if I get a mic it might work (hopefully), but does anyone have an idea how I might work around this (besides disabling audio)? I've stepped through the ObjectAL code and it looks like this is might be an Apple issue, unless ObjectAL is doing something with an audio input I'm just not seeing.
