SQLite is an locally embedded database system (as by the lite mentioned in its name) meaning it will store a small SQL database on the users local machine (in this case the ios device). which isn't very optimal if we want consistent public access to the user's data.
use cases for SQLite would include local high scores, user accounts, settings and the sort this would be a route to travel if you would like your product to remain on the users device never seeking connectivity.
alternatively you would choose to use a non-embedded (standard) database system. these would run on a publicly accessible web server, with content restricted by access accounts. MySQL is the free open source equivalent to SQLite and happens to be popular among the crowd for relation databases conforming to a scheme.
for this kind of project i would recommend NoSQL due to their non-scheme layout which enables them to contain dynamic (consistently changing) content.
