I've read somewhere that it was no easy task to assign mesh vertices to bones in cocos3d and that it's easier done in a 3d editor. But for the sake of having a deeper understanding of it, How difficult would it be translate a model created in a 3d editor with bones and animations into a programmatically created CC3Node with all the same attributes as the model.
I tried it out and created a
CC3SkinSection with all the bones added and I've added the bone weights, bone indices into
CC3SkinMeshNode, but obviously getting it to work isn't that simple.
The log reads out the same data for both the model created in a 3d editor and for the programmatically created model in cocos3d.The programmatically created model doesn't render out to the scene, ( I can see a couple reasons in my code as to why it doesn't render out), but aside from that, What does the 3d editor do that I can't do easily in code when I have a template model to go off of, or essentially copy?
