@noprops, the Xcode templates will be removed in 3.2. There are two main reasons for this: 1, it's a lot of work to maintain them. 2, it's very hard for users to upgrade their Cocos2D project if they are created through the templates.
Instead, the best way to create a new project is to use SpriteBuilder. Even if you don't use SpriteBuilder's other features (which are super useful, btw), it's great for setting up the project and keeping it up to date.
