@birkemose Yes, I understand that. I've recently started using Cocos2D and right now I don't have a full understanding of the Cocos2D rendering system. Although, I'm diving deeper and deeper whenever I get time.
I think right now the Gradient system that ships with Cocos2D is very basic. I would like to work on a Gradient node with more control. Something like the CoreAnimation's CAGradientLayer. But, like I said I don't have sufficient knowledge of the Cocos2D's rendering system and things got even more complicated with the introduction of Metal API. I'm just letting the dust settle down before I'm ready to contribute something.
Cocos2D is a great game engine, I've dumped development of my personal game engine for Cocos2D. That's how serious in getting involved with the project
